2018 Honda Amaze launched at ₹5.59 lakh

The 2018 AMaze is offered in four variants - E, S, V and VX. Only V and S variants get the CVT gearbox option.

Honda has launched the second-generation model of its Amaze compact sedan in India. The car costs ₹5.59 lakh for the base petrol model and ₹8.99 lakh for the top diesel CVT model (ex-showroom).

The 2018 Amaze is the first car in its segment to offer a 7-step CVT gearbox option with both petrol and diesel engines. The engines on the car are carried over from the old model, which means that the familiar 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powertrains propel the car. Interestingly though, the diesel CVT - at 79bhp and 160Nm - is less powerful than the diesel manual, that pumps 99bhp and 200Nm.
